WORKSHOP DRAWINGS

Workshop drawings and photographs are published by the Edinburgh University Collection for the information of historical instrument makers and researchers. They are intended to allow detailed study of the construction of historic instruments.

Where playing pitches have been indicated by the person who prepared the drawing, these are included in this list. In other cases, the playing pitches recorded in the Catalogue of the Collection have been used in this list. See the Catalogue for other playing pitches recorded by the cataloguers.

Photograph views are described from a position facing the player.

Copies of the photographs listed above are available for study purposes, price 11.75 pounds sterling for a 254mm x 203mm (10-inch x 8-inch) black-and-white professional quality print. This price does not include reproduction rights. Photographs can be taken of other views and details by arrangement. Copies of radiographs of some instruments can be supplied.

Orders must be accompanied by remittance, in pounds sterling only. Prices include surface postage.. Alternatively, payment may be made on-line by credit-card.
