Technical description: Boxwood stained dark brown; three sections. Seven finger-holes plus thumb-hole, slight undercutting; curved fairly narrow windway.
Inscriptions: Stamped on all three sections with crown / "VAN HEERDE".
Repair history: Wax for tuning in upper fingerholes added by Frans Brüggen, 1969.
Usable pitch: A4 = 415-422 Hz.
Performance characteristics: impaired intonation, probably due to wood warp.
