Become a member of the Friends of St Cecilia's Hall and Museum
The Friends of St Cecilia's Hall and Museum was formed in 1971. The aims of the Friends of St Cecilia's Hall and Museum include raising funds to buy further instruments; to acquire documentary, bibliographical and illustrative material pertaining to the history of the instruments; and generally to help in furthering the work of the Hall and the collection.
The Friends organise social events for the members such as concerts, lectures, visits, the playing of chamber music, and also offer student bursaries for projects connected with early music. Discounts are available to Friends on some of the items for sale.
One of the major activities of the Friends is the publication and selling of CDs and books connected with the hall, and of technical drawings, data-sheets and photographs of instruments in the collection.
Members receive a copy of our twice-yearly prizewinning magazine, Soundboard.
Membership costs £10 a year (£5 for students) and life membership is £100.
