The Institute for Music in Human and Social Development
brings together research and practice from a range of disciplines
including music, psychology, informatics, sociology and medicine.
The aims of the institute are:
- To strengthen the theoretical and scientific basis of
therapeutic, educational and social practice in music
- To support the development of methodologies for intervention
in these areas
- To be an active partner in the implementation of therapeutic,
educational and social development programs related to music
- To investigate the complexities of musical intelligence
and musical communication
We invite expressions of interest from those interested in
conducting research in such areas, including from students
wishing to undertake postgraduate study.
