Interdisciplinary Music Technology research involves collaborations with Physics and Informatics. The Institute for Music in
Human and Social Development has strong links with Medicine, Psychology,
Neurophysiology, and Sociology and has as one of its aims the strengthening of
the theoretical and scientific basis of therapeutic, educational and social
practice in music.
The School of Arts, Culture and Environment offers a rich and
wide-ranging research environment with regular conferences, seminar
series, and excellent research facilities including the Reid Music
Library, Music
Technology studios, and a world-class Collection of
Historical Musical Instruments.
